Overview:
Thackley return to league action on Saturday with the reverse fixture against their opponents from October 19th, Tadcaster Albion, with the game taking place at Dennyfield on this occasion.
Optimism ahead of the game is high amongst all involved at the club following the victory over Tadcaster two weeks ago at the Young Guns Arena that was followed up in the league the next week by a convincing victory away at Handsworth FC.
However, it is reasonable to assume that this outing will be a much closer affair than the previous one, with Tadcaster rejuvenated after a victory over Handsworth on Tuesday night that puts them in an excellent position ahead of the game.
The Opposition:
Since the previous meeting between the sides two weeks ago, the Brewers have played two further matches, with a trip to Albion Sports and a home game against Handsworth being their only chances to pick up some points.
The former of the two games ended early, with fog in Bradford on the evening leading to the referee abandoning the fixture after only 10 minutes of play and with the scores at 0-0.
The latter game represented a turnaround, with a six minute hat trick from Elliot Andrew sealing a 3-0 victory for Tadcaster over Handsworth, a result that moved them up to 14th in the league table.
Luca Bolino currently leads the way for the side in the goal scoring charts, netting six goals in the league so far this season.
Previous Meeting:
The previous fixture between the two clubs was a classic in terms of goal scoring, with the Dennyboys picking up a 4-2 victory at the Young Guns Arena thanks to efforts from Finn Donovan, Antony Brown and Ben Grech-Brooksbank in a clinical display, with Albert Ibrahimi and Benjamin Tweed’s goals for the hosts not being enough to get anything from the game.
