Overview:
There's no international break for Thackley as the team returns to action on Saturday when they welcome Rossington Main to Dennyfield.
The Dennyboys will be hoping to recover well in this fixture from last week's 1-0 loss away at Pickering Town, an already difficult game made even more so by the team's late arrival following a motorway incident that led to an extended stay in traffic.
However, Rossington will provide an interesting test for Danny Forrest's side, with their recent goalscoring exploits meaning it could be a busy day at the back as Thackley look to keep the three points in West Yorkshire.
It could also be a busy debut for goalkeeper Michael Roxburgh, who joins the Dennyboys on a dual-registration basis from Emley AFC to provide added backup following the recent injury to Luke Wilson.
The Opposition:
Visiting Dennyfield are a Rossington Main side that sit 11th in the table, with 17 points from 12 games so far this season.
Though this may seem to indicate an indifferent campaign so far at a glance, 'Rosso' have certainly raised some eyebrows amongst their fellow teams in the league by producing some scorelines that make for fun reading.
These include a run of consecutive 4-1 victories over Parkgate and Pickering Town, whilst also defeating Winterton Rangers 3-1 and perhaps most notably, Goole AFC 5-0.
Unsurprisingly, this also means that they have the league's third highest top scorer in Manasse Kianga, who has scored 13 so far in all competitions.
Being one of last season's play-off qualifiers, there is clearly a lot of quality in this Rossington team, with all the key components being there as they look to mount another charge at promotion to the Northern Premier League Division One.
Previous Meetings:
Last season's meetings saw the Dennyboys unable to pick up a victory over the South Yorkshire side, with the first encounter resulting in a 1-1 draw in front of a crowd of 178 at Dennyfield that saw Benjamin Ellison-Tope open the scoring for Thackley, before Ross Hannah equalised in the second half for the visitors.
The return fixture at Rossington saw the hosts pick up a triumph over the Dennyboys with goals from Kiange and Liam Hardy securing a 2-0 victory in front of 181 spectators.
