Thackley will be looking to regain local bragging rights after last Saturday's result.

Thackley v Liversedge.

Northern Counties East League Premier Division – Saturday 6th April – Kick off 3.00pm.

On Saturday Thackley take on Liversedge in another Bradford ‘derby’ having played their local rivals last weekend. In what some described as a typical end of season game, the Sedge emerged with all three points thanks to a seventy seventh minute winner courtesy of Mason O’Malley. This result lifted Liversedge six points clear of the Dennyboys as well as giving them the local bragging rights, well at least until this Saturday. The victory also stretched their winning run to six games.

Unlike Thackley, the Sedge had a free mid week, whilst Thackley travelled to an in form Staveley on Wednesday night. In a spirited performance they succumbed to a couple of late goals, this having squandered two or three really good chances before the home side had scored. The game also saw five of Thackley’s players shown yellow cards which was down to a rather over officious referee than any really bad challenges.

Following this defeat Thackley dropped a place in the table, Garforth jumping above them on goal difference after beating a struggling Harrogate Railway 5-0. Thackley will be looking to avenge last Saturday’s defeat, they need to regain the local bragging rights and put on a performance to show all their supporters just how they can play in what is their final home Saturday fixture of the season.

This Saturday is also Sponsor’s Day at Dennyfield, a day when all our sponsors are invited to attend the game. We welcome them all and thank them for their past and hopefully their future support of the club.
